About UsCanines on Cue, LLC is a family owned business.
We specialize in using an all positive approach to training and our methods are scientifically documented to be effective. Toni has been in the animal training field in a professional aspect since 1996. Beginning as an intern working with marine mammals, she was the "creative director" for the environmental enrichment (toys and fun) program for the animals and created a fun toy schedule to keep things exciting for the animals! Toni has worked with many species to include; Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, sea lions, otters, two-toed sloths, kinkajous, lesser-anteaters, monkeys (univ of MN) and lots of canines! |

We believe learning for both humans and animals is individual specific and can be very fun! We strive to make training and learning for all involved a creative and exciting process. We want you to have fun while providing yourself and your canine with new opportunities to learn and grow.

Animal Training and animal care has been a passion since her early days as a dog owner, 4-H leader and self-trained horse trainer (used to train POA, pony of America, to jump obstacles and hurdles)! We did not win any ribbons for that!
Toni studied Animal Behavior extensively at the University of Minnesota although her major was in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies with a minor in Psychology. Much of her study and focus was on Pavlovian and Operant Conditioning which is the scientific background for all of the conditioning and positive reinforcement methods used in training. She has 20 years of experience training animals and extensive experience in learning theory and how it is applied to animals. |
